Frank Wise School is a community special school for pupils between the ages of 2 and 19 serving the area around Banbury and the north of Oxfordshire. The challenge was to design a new website that would be also accessible for people with learning difficulties.
“We began working with Gala Digital as a result of seeing examples of the company’s work at another special school. During this process we quickly became very confident that Gala would be able to meet our requirements, due to the highly creative and imaginative way they were able to approach our key aim, which was to create a school website that would be accessible to the children who attended the school. It is, unfortunately, quite unusual to find a special school website which is itself accessible to people with learning difficulties, but with Gala’s support and guidance we have created a site which goes a long way to achieving this.
We have also found the process of the site development, communication and advice and guidance to be a wholly productive one and one in which Gala have been and continue to be active partners, sharing their advice and experience in order to enable us to maximise our expenditure and realise our vision. I would not hesitate to recommend Gala Digital, not only for the quality of the work they produced, bit also for their ability to realise a vision whilst working within a clearly defined budget and timescale.” – Simon Knight (Headteacher)
